is a graphic and user experience designer, researcher, educator, and amateur sewist.
Hey, I'm Liz! I'm a graphic and UX/UI designer based in North Carolina.
Third-person bios are weird. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Reporting) with a minor in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019 and Master’s degree in Graphic and Experience Design (MGXD) from North Carolina State University in 2023.
In graduate school, I gravitated toward designing with/for diverse communities through an ethics-based lens, conducting thesis research around diversifying course materials in design education curricula using machine learning technologies to increase intersectional students' feelings of belonging.
Currently, a digital content and UX designer at Southern Coalition for Social Justice. My design interests include identity, design ethics, pedagogy, design justice and activism, inclusive design, and AI/machine learning.
